Das Seminar behandelt Theorien und Befunde der aktuellen empirischen Stereotypen-, Vorurteils-, Rassismus- und Diskriminierungsforschung. Der Blick richtet sich auf Befunde der empirischen qualitativen wie quantitativen Forschung und soll einen grundständigen Überblick bieten. Was sind Stereotype und Vorteile? Welche Theorien erklären die Phänomene und Ursachen? Welche Studien sind besonders relevant? Wie lassen sich generalisierten Abwertungen und Feindseligkeiten gegenüber Gruppen von Diskriminierungen unterscheiden? Wann führen Vorurteile zu Diskrimininierungen? Mit welchen Maßnahmen, Projekten, Ansätzen lassen sich Vorurteile wie Diskriminierungen reduzieren oder verhindern?
Wesentlich ist, dass die TN*innen sich alle aktiv beteiligen und eigene Themen und Ideen einbringen. Das Seminar hat auch einen Werkstattcharakter.
