Menschen und einige Tiere nehmen die Welt wahr, haben Überzeugungen und Absichten, handeln aus Motiven, haben Bewusstsein und (vielleicht) einen freien Willen. Dieses Seminar beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, welche Rolle die Evolutionsbiologie und Neurowissenschaften bei der Erklärung dieser Phänomene spielen. Zu diesem Zweck werden wir gemeinsam die englischsprachige Einführung "The Biological Mind" von Justin Garson lesen und diskutieren. Diese beschäftigt sich unter anderen mit Altruismus und Egoismus, Evolutionspsychologie, Einflüssen von Genen und Erziehung, Bewusstsein, Willensfreiheit und psychischen Krankheiten.
Veranstaltungsformat:
Diese Veranstaltung findet, evtl. abgesehen von den ersten 1-2 Sitzungen, über in Präsenz auf dem Campus statt. Die Veranstaltung ist teilnehmerbeschränkt. Bitte nehmen Sie die Veranstaltung in Ihren Stundenplan auf. Sie erfahren dann Ende September, ob Sie einen Platz in der Veranstaltung haben.
Wenn Sie mit guten Gründen an genau dieser Veranstaltung teilnehmen möchten (z.B. weil es für Ihren Studienverlauf keine mögliche Alternative gibt), aber aus guten Gründen nicht an einer Präsenzveranstaltung teilnehmen können, wenden Sie sich bitte so früh wie möglich an: corona.philosophie@uni-bielefeld.de Wir suchen dann gemeinsam mit Ihnen nach einer Lösung des Problems.
