Im Seminar werden Bezüge zwischen den Begriffen Medienbildung, Inklusion und sonderpädagogischer Förderung systematisch hergeleitet. Eine "Inklusive Medienbildung", so die leitende These im Seminar, birgt das Potenzial den Inklusionsprozess zu fördern. Zur Begründung dieser Annahme werden theoretische, empirische und handlungspraktische Perspektiven im Hinblick auf das Thema entfaltet. Neben Ansätzen aus der Medien- und Behindertenpädagogik lernen die Seminarteilnehmer/innen unterschiedliche Bereiche (Schule, Beruf, Freizeit etc.) kennen, in denen Medien und Beeinträchtigung(en) eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Ziel ist es, Ideen und Konzepte zu entwickeln, wie Medien für eine inklusive Gesellschaft verwendet werden und somit Menschen aus benachteiligten Lebenslagen soziale Teilhabe ermöglichen können.
