Was macht einen Menschen "heilig"? Die römisch-katholische Kirche kennt ein ausgefeiltes Verfahren, um dies festzustellen; Luther stellt lapidar fest: Es ist die Taufe, die heilig macht. Aber auch die evangelische Tradition kennt besondere Glaubenszeugen. Die Frage danach was Menschen in solcher Weise auszeichnen und verehrungswürdig machen kann, vereint kirchengeschichtliche mit religionsdidaktischen Aspekten.
