230200 Mythologie und Römische Kunst (S) (SoSe 2017)

Das Seminar fokussiert die griechisch-römische Mythologie, wie sie immer wieder Eingang gefunden hat in die zeitgenössische bildenden Kunst der Römer. Auf dem Hintergrund einschlägiger lateinischer Texte soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, inwiefern die römische Kunst die literarische Überlieferung widerspiegelt bzw. illustriert oder aber diese sichtbar umakzentuiert und was jeweils die Gründe dafür gewesen sein mögen.

Bibliography

Die Texte, die gemeinsam gelesen werden, werden jeweils zur Verfügung gestellt.
