Was ist der Sinn des Lebens? Diese Frage provoziert gewöhnlich Hohn und Spott. „Na ja, nichts Besonderes eigentlich. Versuchen Sie nett zu anderen zu sein, vermeiden Sie fettes Essen, lesen Sie hin und wieder ein gutes Buch, verschaffen Sie sich genügend Bewegung, und bemühen Sie sich mit Menschen aller Nationen und Religionen in Frieden und Eintracht zusammenzuleben. Na ja, das war’s.“ So lautet die Antwort, die Monty Python im gleichnamigen Film geben. „42“ ist die erheblich kürzere Auskunft in Douglas Adams‘ Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis. – In dem Seminar wollen wir verschiedene historische und moderne Texte lesen, die versuchen, andere, bessere, ernsthafte Antworten zu geben, und sei es, dass sie uns die Augen dafür öffnen, in einer absurden Welt zu leben. Die Texte werden online zur Verfügung gestellt.

Termine
Seminare, die für den Philosophischen Einstieg geöffnet sind, beginnen für alle Studierenden s.t. Die gemeinsame Sitzung endet nach 90 Minuten. Es schließen sich unmittelbar weitere 30 Minuten ausschließlich für die Studierenden des Philosophischen Einstiegs (PhiE) an.
