220119 Wissenschaftssysteme im internationalen Vergleich (S) (WiSe 2016/2017)

Moderne Wissenschaft zeichnet sich immer mehr durch internationale Zusammenarbeit und Großprojekte aus. Gleichzeitig verbleiben sowohl Ausbildungs- als auch Forschungspolitik zum größten Teil in unterschiedlich geprägten und historisch gewachsenen nationalen Wissenschaftssystemen. In diesem Seminar sollen verschiedene europäische und außereuropäische Wissenschaftssysteme aus dem 19. und 20. Jahrhundert verglichen und auf ihre Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede hin untersucht werden. Welche verschiedenen Ideen von Wissenschaft und Wissenschaftspolitik liegen diesen Systemen zugrunde? Wie haben sich diese Systeme entwickelt? Welche Vor- und Nachteile bieten die einzelnen Systeme?
