Der Alltag von Kindern ist geprägt von der Nutzung unterschiedlicher Mediengeräte und Medienformate. Insbesondere ab dem Grundschulalter erlangen digitale, portable und konvergente Medienangebote zunehmend an Bedeutung. Im Seminar erfolgt nach einer Einordnung der Nutzungsdauer und medialen Vorlieben, die Fokussierung auf die Bedeutung in den kindlichen Lebenswelten. Zentral ist dabei die Verknüpfung mit non-medialen Lebenswelten, um den heterogenen Lebenslagen und Medienaneignungsweisen von Kindern gerecht zu werden.

Auf dieser Grundlage werden im Seminar Konzepte medienpädagogischen Handelns thematisiert. Welche Chancen stellen alltäglich erworbene Fertigkeiten im Umgang mit Medienangeboten für (Selbst)Bildungsprozesse dar? Bei welchen Mediennutzungsformen ist eine pädagogische Begleitung notwendig? Inwiefern können digitale Medien inklusive Lernsettings unterstützen?

Eine Einzelleistung (benotet oder unbenotet) kann in Form eines Referates oder einer Hausarbeit erworben werden. Studienleistungen können über eine Textzusammenfassung und Schreibaufgaben oder durch Kurzpräsentation erworben werden.
