In diesem Seminar werden die TeilnehmerInnen die linguistische Teildisziplin Graphematik kennenlernen, die - anders als viele andere Bereiche der Linguistik - die geschriebene Sprache zum primären Untersuchungsgegenstand macht. Der Schwerpunkt wird auf dem Schriftsystem des Deutschen liegen, dennoch werden auch andere Schriftsysteme (z. B. logographische Schriftsysteme) vorgestellt. Neben der theoretischen Betrachtung zentraler graphematischer Prinzipien des Deutschen wird auch Bezug genommen auf den frühen Schriftspracherwerb sowie weitere Anwendungsgebiete, die für den schulischen Kontext relevant sind.
