Die Kritische Theorie oder, wie man wohl besser formulieren müsste, die verschiedenen Kritischen Theorien stellen wissenschaftsgeschichtlich wie aktuell eine bedeutende sozialtheoretische und soziologische Position dar. In dem Seminar werden wir uns mit wichtigen „Stationen“, Fragestellungen und soziologischen Diagnosen der Kritischen Theorie befassen, angefangen von den Arbeiten zu einer materialistischen Gesellschaftstheorie über die Dialektik der Aufklärung bis hin zu zeitdiagnostischen Analysen zur Moderne.
