Weiterbildungsangebote entstehen nicht von selbst. Sie müssen geplant, organisiert, finanziert und koordiniert werden. Das Seminar führt in zentrale Perspektiven des Bildungsmanagements und der Organisationsforschung in der Erwachsenenbildung ein. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Bildungsorganisationen als Orte pädagogischen Handelns sowie die Bedingungen, unter denen Weiterbildung ermöglicht wird.
Behandelt werden unter anderem Fragen der Programmplanung, Organisation, Qualitätsentwicklung, Finanzierung, Kooperation und Steuerung. Anhand aktueller Beispiele aus unterschiedlichen Handlungsfeldern der Weiterbildung werden organisationale Herausforderungen und Gestaltungsoptionen analysiert.Das Seminar verbindet theoretische Zugänge mit Fallanalysen und Diskussionen aktueller Entwicklungen im Weiterbildungsbereich.
