In diesem Seminar sollen wichtige Grundfragen an der Schnittstelle von Theologie und Philosophie vergleichend betrachtet werden. Ausgehend von den vier Kantischen Fragen "Was kann ich wissen?" (Erkenntnistheorie), "Was soll ich tun?" (Ethik), "Was darf ich hoffen?" (Religionsphilosophie) und "Was ist der Mensch?" (Anthropologie) vergleichen wir jeweils drei Antwortversuche, um somit ein christliches Deutungsangebot, einen Deutungansatz aus einer anderen Religion, sowie einen säkularen Deutungsversuch miteinander zu vergleichen.
Im Zuge dessen sollen die Eigenheiten der je unterschiedlichen Wissensdomänen an Kontur gewinnen, und die für einen (religions-)wissenschaftlichen Vergleich nötigen Faktoren sollen übergreifend transparent gemacht werden. Besondere Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich. Das Seminar ist als Diskussionsseminar konzipiert und lebt vom aktiven Austausch.
