Gut ausgebildete mathematische Vorläuferfähigkeiten gelten als wichtiger Indikator für mathematischen Lernerfolg in der Grundschule.
Ein Großteil der Kinder, die besondere Schwierigkeiten beim Mathematiklernen ausbilden, zeigt bereits im letzten Kindergartenjahr und zu Beginn der Schulzeit schwächere mathematische Leistungen. Frühe Förderung ist daher besonders sinnvoll, um der späteren Entwicklung von Rechenschwächen vorzubeugen. In diesem Seminar werden Kenntnisse zur Bedeutung frühen mathematischen Lernens vertieft und effektive Förderansätze erarbeitet.
