Pädagogische Agenten (PAen) sind menschenähnlich aussehende künstliche Agenten (virtuell oder robotisch), die in Lehr- und Lernumgebungen eingesetzt werden. Sie bilden somit eine verkörperte Schnittstelle zwischen Lernenden und Inhalten. Die Erwartungen an diese Systeme bestehen darin, einerseits die erfolgreichen Aspekte des Lehrens und Lernens aus der Mensch-Mensch-Interaktion in die Mensch-Technik-Interaktion zu übertragen und zugleich die Vorteile dieser technischen Systeme in Form von Individualisierbarkeit und flexibler Verfügbarkeit zu nutzen.
Das Seminar bietet einen aktuellen Überblick, der sich in folgende drei Bereiche gliedert:
- Theoretischer Hintergrund, z.B. Cognitive Load Theory (Sweller 1994), Ethopoeia (Nass & Moon, 2000), Threshold Model of Social Influence (Blascovich et al. 2002)
- Technische Grundlagen wie z.B. natürlich-sprachliche Dialogsysteme, Generierung non-verbalen Verhaltens, Technology-based Assessment
- Empirische Evaluation der Wirkung von PAenZu jedem Termin wird ein bestimmtes Thema durch einen Vortrag und anschließende Diskussion behandelt. Die Vorträge werden von den Teilnehmern in Kleingruppen erarbeitet und präsentiert. Zur Erlangung der Leistungspunkte muss das Erarbeitete zusätzlich in Form einer schriftlichen Ausarbeitung festgehalten werden.
Die Literatur zu den Seminarthemen ist englischsprachig!
