Im ersten Teil des Seminars werden die Themen Geschlechteridentitäten, sexual citizenship als Konzept der Bürgerschaft und politischer Partizipation in intensiver Textarbeit erarbeitet. Das Seminar fokussiert sich vor allem auf die Schnittstellen der drei Themenbereiche, erfordert Bereitschaft zur interdisziplinären Arbeit und ist nicht als Einführung in einer der Thematiken zu sehen.
Im zweiten Seminarteil werden anhand eines empirischen Falls, welches eine Überschneidung der Thematiken beinhaltet (eine Minderheit in der Exekutive) gemeinsam empirische Daten bearbeitet, um das Spannungsfeld der Geschlechtsidentitäten, sexual citizenship und politischer Partizipation empirisch zu rekonstruieren. Dafür wird ein Methodenblock angeboten. Teilnahme an den Gruppenanalysen und am Methodenblock sind Voraussetzungen für das Erhalten der Credit Points Der erste Teil des Seminars beinhaltet Kurzreferate der Teilnehmer_innen.
Bereitschaft, aktiv zu diskutieren und englischsprachige Texte zu lesen sind Voraussetzungen für die Teilnahme am Seminar.
