Das Seminar problematisiert die Konzepte der 'Nation' und der 'Geschlechtscharaktere' als verflochtene politische Grundkategorien im langen 19. Jahrhundert und untersucht sie in ihrem Deutungswandel in europäischen und kolonialen Kontexten.
