220112 Gewalt in der Vormoderne (S+Ü) (WiSe 2015/2016)

Die traditionelle Vorstellung, die Menschen in der Vormoderne seien gewaltbereiter gewesen als in der Neuzeit, wird seit Jahren kontrovers diskutiert. Das Seminar will die Formen der Gewalt in der Vormoderne untersuchen. Neben Krieg und Fehde werden auch staatliche Gewalt, Gewalt gegen Minderheiten sowie alltägliche Gewalt behandelt.
