Ein angemessenes Verständnis von Gott, Mensch und Kosmos, das sowohl dem Glauben als auch der Wirklichkeit zu entsprechen vermag, bedarf der Einsicht in die theologischen und naturwissenschaftlichen Grundlagen und in deren richtige Zuordnung. Nur ein Glaube, der für die Wirklichkeit des Menschen nachvollziehbare Bedeutung erlangt, kann ein tragfähiger und vermittelbarer Glaube sein, welcher nicht in innere Widersprüche führt. Deshalb sollen vor dem Horizont theologischer und naturwissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse der Sinn und die Bestimmung des menschlichen Lebens ebenso hervortreten wie der Sinn der Geschichte von Welt und Kosmos.
