Gewalt ist nicht nur ein Akt der Schädigung. Gewalt des Menschen gegen den Menschen, sei diese nun strukturell oder interaktiv, sei diese nun körperlich oder symbolisch, kann als ein Phänomen verstanden werden, in dem es, allgemein formuliert, um die Bewahrung, Wiederherstellung, Bestätigung oder Veränderung sozialer Ordnung geht. Ansätze, die dies theoretisch fassen, diskutieren wir in der Lehrveranstaltung. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf Gewalt im Kontext von Geschlechter- und migrationsgesellschaftlichen Verhältnissen, etwa sexueller und rassistischer Gewalt.
Inwiefern pädagogische Institutionen und pädagogisches Handeln dabei auch eine Quelle von Gewalt darstellen, vielleicht auch ein Mittel zur Verhinderung schädigender Gewalt, werden wir im Seminar diskutieren - im Rahmen des Versuchs im Seminar selbst, schädigende Gewalt zu vermeiden.

Rahmen:
Insgesamt ist für das Seminar die Lektüre von Texten im Umfang von ca. 120 Seiten vorgesehen; zusätzliche Literatur wird Ihnen zur Verfügung gestellt.
Studienleistung:
Teilnahme an den Plenarsitzungen
Verfassen eines Seminartagebuchs (im Umfang von 10.000 Zeichen), das unter einer selbstgewählten Themenstellung die Seminardiskussionen und die im Seminar verwendete Literatur reflektiert
Prüfungsleistung:
Gerne Hausarbeit (Überlegungen zu Thema, Fragestellung, Aufbau, Literatur etc. bitte individuell mit mir besprechen)
