Wie lassen sich Zusammenhänge zwischen Bildung und Sozialer Ungleichheit verstehen? Wie und mit welchen Effekten stellen Organisationen des Bildungsystems Differenzen her, und welche Bedeutung hat dies für die Adressat:innen sowie die pädagogisch Tätigen? In diesem Seminar erarbeiten wir uns ein gemeinsames Verständnis von Theorien Sozialer Ungleichheit und Differenz. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf jenen lebensweltlichen und institutionellen Kontexte und Praktiken, in denen soziale Ungleichheiten hervorgebracht werden. Dabei stehen sowohl pädagogische Praktiken in Bildungs- und Erziehungsinstitutionen (Schule, Kita, Kinder- und Jugendhilfe) als auch die lebensweltlichen Kontexte (Familie, Freizeit und Peers) im Fokus. Über die gemeinsame Lektüre von exemplarischen qualitativ-rekonstruktiven Studien zu Diversität, Heterogenität und Ungleichheit erarbeiten wir uns ein Verständnis von Prozessen der Herstellung Sozialer Ungleichheit und leiten daraus Implikationen für einen differenzsensiblen und zuschreibungsreflexiven pädagogischen Umgang mit sozialen Ungleichheit und Differenz.
