In diesem Seminar setzen wir uns mit Philipp Männles Werk "Verwaltung (in) der Gesellschaft" und seinen systemtheoretischen Überlegungen zur öffentlichen Verwaltung auseinander. Die Lektüre und Analyse des Textes bilden die Grundlage u.a. für die Diskussion und Reflexion der Wechselwirkungen zwischen Verwaltung und Gesellschaft. Ziel des Seminars ist es, die öffentliche Verwaltung soziologisch zu begreifen und ein Grundverständnis für ihre gesellschaftliche Rolle und ihre Funktionsweise als Organisation zu entwickeln.
