In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit der Frage, warum man sich zu einer Nation zugehörig fühlt.
Hierfür wollen wir uns gemeinsam damit beschäftigen, wie ein Zugehörigkeitsgefühl entstehen kann und welche Ausschlussmechanismen bei dem Entstehungsprozess einer Nation zutage treten.
Aufbauend auf Halls Überlegungen zur Identität und Andersons Überlegungen zur "Imagined Community", lesen und besprechen wir unter anderem Texte zu den Themen Nationalismus, Performativität, Populismus, Rassismus und Ethnizität.
