300030 Global Social Governance (International Track) (S) (SoSe 2016)

Contents, comment

In this seminar we approach global and transnational social policy through a governance lense. For that purpose, we identify and understand particular groups of global social policy actors with their respective compositions, mandates, legitimacy and (potential) power. We discuss the multiple facets of the scope and legitimacy of a particular actor (group) in conjunction with the configuration of social governance. We understand the contestational and simultaneously collaborative relationships between actors.

The literature is in English and the seminar's presentations and discussions are expected to be in English as well.
