250292 Anwendung empirischer Forschungsmethoden: Was wissen wir über die Europäer? (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Datenbasis für die im Seminar vorgestellten statistischen Analyseverfahren und Berechnungen ist der European Social Survey, eine Fragebogenstudie, die seit 2001 in mehr als 30 europäischen Ländern durchgeführt wird. Ziel des Surveys ist es, Stabilität und Wandel in der gesellschaftlichen Struktur, in den Lebensumständen und in den Einstellungen der Bürger in Europa aufzuzeigen. Darüber hinaus soll erklärt werden, wie Veränderungen in Europas politischer, sozialer und moralischer Verfasstheit zustande kommen. Der inhaltlich Fokus des Seminars liegt auf den Konzepten ‚soziales Vertrauen‘ und ‚politisches Vertrauen‘. Im Seminar werden grundlegende Methoden der statistischen Analyse dieser Konzepte erarbeitet. Dabei werden neben regressions- und varianzanalytischen Verfahren auch klassifizierende Verfahren wie die Faktorenanalyse behandeln.
