261019 Moderne Klassiker der Moralphilosophie 1 (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Es gibt in jeder philosophischen Diskussion einige Texte, an denen man nicht vorbeikommt, weil in ihnen neue Ideen entwickelt, Debatten einen entscheidenden Schritt vorangebracht und/oder Theorien vernichtend kritisiert werden. In diesem Seminar werden wir Texte lesen, die für die Moralphilosophie seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eine solche zentrale Rolle spielen, u.a. von Elizabeth Anscombe, Thomas Nagel, John Rawls, Peter Strawson und Bernard Williams. Wir werden diese Texte intensiv gemeinsam durcharbeiten und uns dabei für die meisten Texte mehr als eine Sitzung Zeit lassen.
Im Sommersemester 15 wird es eine Anschlussveranstaltung "Moderne Klassiker der Moralphilosophie 2" geben. Beide Veranstaltungen können aber unabhängig voneinander besucht werden.

Bibliography

Alle im Seminar besprochenen Texte werden in Form eines Readers zu Beginn des Seminars bereitgestellt. Textgrundlage wird bei im Original englischen Texten jeweils das Original sein.
