230307 Landschaft in Literatur und Malerei (V) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Mit der Herausbildung einer emphatischen Naturlyrik, vor allem in England und Deutschland, verändert sich in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts der Blick auf die Landschaft entscheidend. Die ästhetische Vergegenwärtigung der Landschaft erscheint als Kompensation eines Unbehagens an der neuzeitlichen Naturbeherrschung, Landschaft kann als Bild eines (erstrebten) irdischen Glücks erscheinen, gleichzeitig aber als Projektionsfläche untergründiger Bedrohlichkeit. In der Vorlesung werden literarische und malerische Landschaftsdarstellungen des klassischen wie des romantischen Paradigmas behandelt (Gray, Young, Blake, Moritz, Goethe, Novalis, Hölderlin, Kleist, Hoffmann, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Keats, Watteau, Hackert, Friedrich, Blechen, Turner u.a.).
