The concept of group action will be explored from a social psychological point of view. The most influencal studies in this field will be discussed. Furthermore, we will take a closer look at the following:
- street gang violence
- prison gangs
- theories on genocide (e.g.the Holocaust)

Es handelt sich um ein Vertiefungsseminar im Aufbaumodul R zur angewandten Sozialpsychologie.
TeilnehmerInnen sollten die Module G und O erfolgreich abgeschlossen haben.
Es besteht eine Teilnahmebegrenzung auf 30 Studierende.
Hauptfachstudierende der Psychologie werden bevorzugt berücksichtigt.
Die verbindliche Anmeldung erfolgt am ersten Veranstaltungstermin.Every activity of the seminar (lectures, students' presentation, discussions, readings and writing essays) will be in English Good English language profiency is therefore required.

Erwartet wird die regelmäßige aktive Teilnahme, das Studium der Seminarliteratur, Beteiligung an Diskussionen und die einmalige Gestaltung eines Themenbereichs, i.d.R in Kleingruppen. Maßgeblich ist die Ankündigung beim ersten Veranstaltungstermin.
