This course begins with an overview of Comparative and International Education (CIE), covering its historical development, key actors, and various methodologies. Students will explore the relevance and implications of CIE, addressing its criticisms and challenges. During the seminars, we will conduct a mini comparative research in group settings, on selected national education systems, focusing on areas of personal interest within the educational contexts. The course also emphasizes practical teaching application, encouraging students to adapt their international comparative findings and learnings to their own social and cultural contexts.
