In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit der Frage, wer oder was genau "die Anderen" sind. Warum scheint es, stets neben der eigenen Ingroup eine fremde - und in den meisten Fällen auch gefährliche - Outgroup zu geben? Aus welchen Gründen werden Menschen als anders wahrgenommen und wie werden sie beschrieben? Gemeinsam setzen wir uns intensiv mit Literatur zum Thema Vergleichen und Othering auseinander, um uns "den Anderen" als Konstrukt zu nähern.
