In der Übung werden lateinische Quellen im Original gelesen und interpretiert, die sich mit dem maritimen und territorialen Ausgreifen Roms seit der späten Republik in den atlantischen und mitteleuropäischen Norden beschäftigen. Gefragt wird u..a., welchen Beitrag die römische Expansion in diese Räume für die geographische und ethnographische Weltkenntnis der Antike geleistet hat. Die Quellen werden komplett in StudIP zur Verfügung gestellt
