Nach Hobbes und Locke ist Rousseau der dritte wichtige neuzeitliche Vertreter einer politischen Vertragstheorie. Seine Überlegungen, die vor allem in der Französischen Revolution eine zentrale Rolle spielten, sind aber deutlich radikaler als die seiner Vorgänger: Rousseau fordert eine nicht übertragbare Volkssouveränität und hält einen gemeinsamen Willen (volonté générale) der Bürgerschaft für möglich, der nicht auf den Willen der einzelnen Staatsbürger zurückführbar ist. Im Seminar soll Rousseaus Schrift „Vom Gesellschaftsvertrag“ gemeinsam erarbeitet und die Tragfähigkeit seiner Staatstheorie geprüft werden.
Diese Veranstaltung kann als Äquivalenz für den Lektürekurs (FsB 2009, Modul N2 Grundmodul) studiert werden. In diesem Fall werden 3 LP (benotet) vergeben.

Teilnehmerbegrenzung (40 TN):
An diesem Seminar kann nur eine begrenzte Anzahl von 40 Studierenden teilnehmen. Zur Anmeldung tragen Sie die Veranstaltung in Ihren Stundenplan ein, die Platzvergabe erfolgt in der ersten Sitzung der Veranstaltung durch den Dozierenden. Benötigen Sie für Ihren Studienabschluss einen Platz in exakt dieser Veranstaltung (Härtefallregelung), melden Sie sich bitte bei Herrn Harnisch, T8-225.Vorkenntnisse:
Bachelor Einschreibung bis SS 11: Abschluss des ersten Studienjahres.

Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 2 Leistungspunkten (Bachelor Einschreibung bis SoSe 11 und Master of Education) ist die regelmäßige und aktive Teilnahme sowie das Erbringen des schriftlichen oder mündlichen Beitrags im Umfang von maximal 1200 Wörtern für das Modulportfolio, auf dem die unbenotete Moduleinzelleistung beruht. Die Anforderungen für den Modulportfolio-Beitrag werden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn bekannt gegeben.
Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 3 Leistungspunkten (Einschreibung ab WS 11/12) ist das Erbringen des schriftlichen oder mündlichen Beitrags im Umfang von maximal 1200 Wörtern bzw. 10-20 Minuten. Die genauen Anforderungen werden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn bekannt gegeben.
