230019 Intermediale Übersetzungen (S) (SoSe 2013)

Das Seminar verfolgt eine Zusammenführung von Übersetzungs- und Intermedialitätstheorie. Während die Theorie der Übersetzung vor allem eine Theorie der literarischen Übersetzung samt ihrer methodischen Schwierigkeiten ist, scheinen letztere in der Praxis der intermedialen Adaption - also in der Übertragung einer medienpezifischen Darstellung in eine andere - bloß unter anderen, nämlich medialen Vorzeichen aufzutreten: So müsste sich aus der Theorie der Übersetzung eine Theorie der intermedialen Adaption gewinnen lassen, was weder die Literatur- noch die Medienwissenschaft bisher versucht hat. Ausgehend von zahlreichen praktischen Analysen sollen im Seminar grundlegende Ideen hierzu skizziert werden. Dafür werden in den ersten Sitzungen theoretische Texte gelesen sowie im Anschluss Fallbeispiele aus den Bereichen der Literaturverfilmung (Prosa, Lyrik, Drama, Comic), der theatralen Adaption, der Comic-Adaption usw. untersucht.

Die Studienleistung/aktive Teilnahme wird durch die Übernahme eines Kurzreferats erbracht, in dem beispielhaft intermediale Adaptionen untersucht werden.
Benotete Einzelleistungen können in Form von Hausarbeiten oder mündlichen Prüfungen erbracht werden; Studierende des neuen Masters Literaturwissenschaft können im Rahmen des AM 1 das ausführliche Referat mit Ausarbeitung erbringen.
