Das Seminar stellt eine Einführung in den (internationalen) Diskurs um ‚interkulturelle Kompetenz‘ und damit verbundenden -trainings dar. 'Interkultureller Kompetenz' wird in der pädagogischen Arbeit als Anforderung an professionelle Akteur*innen und auch darüber hinaus gegenwärtig der Stellenwert einer Schlüsselqualifikation zugeschrieben. Im Seminar gehen wir anhand zu erarbeitender Perspektiven der diskursiven Verwendung des Begriffs ‚interkulturelle Kompetenz‘ nach und erörtern gesellschaftliche Kontexte, innerhalb welcher dieser und entsprechende Trainingskurse an Bedeutung erlangt haben. Gefragt wird nach den Konzepten ‚interkultureller Kompetenz‘, wer damit wie adressiert und welches Wissen hervorgebracht wird. Eröffnet wird diesbezüglich eine kritisch-reflexive Auseinandersetzung mit der Kategorie ‚Kultur‘ und machtvollen Differenzierungs- und Zuordnungspraktiken.
Zu Beginn werden wir uns im Seminar gemeinsam über die Arbeitsformen verständigen. Angeboten werden Möglichkeiten der Auseinandersetzung mit Texten in Englisch und Deutsch als Wissenschaftssprache.

Master of Arts: Voraussetzung ist die Einschreibung im Master of Arts Erziehungswissenschaft im WiSe22_23.
M.Ed. UFP: Voraussetzung ist die Einschreibung im Master of Education, Unterrichtsfach Pädagogik im WiSe22_23.
