220127 Den Zerfall lesen - Quellen und Literatur zum letzten sowjetischen Jahrzehnt (Ü+V) (WiSe 2022/2023)

Wie lebte es sich im späten sowjetischen Imperium? Wie prägten die politischen Ereignisse des Jahrzehnts den sowjetischen Alltag, worüber wurde gesprochen und diskutiert—im Privaten sowie in der Öffentlichkeit? Diese Übung befasst sich vor allem mit Quellen aus dem Spannungsfeld zwischen privaten Leben, Alltag und öffentlichem Diskurs im Schatten der großen Ereignisse der 1980er Jahren in der Sowjetunion wie dem Afghanistankrieg, dem Unglück in Tschernobyl, oder den umfassenden gesellschaftlichen und politischen Umbrüchen der Dekade. Um verschiedene Aspekte der späten Sowjetunion zu erkunden, werden wir Exkurse in frühere Jahrzehnte unternehmen, wie etwa zur Geschichte der Ukraine, zur sowjetischen Medizingeschichte oder zur Umweltgeschichte.
Diese Übung soll Studierende dabei unterstützen, Quellen für Hausarbeiten oder Abschlussarbei-ten zu finden und mit ihnen zu arbeiten.
