Das Seminar ist als Präsenzveranstaltung geplant und adressiert das Thema Social Media. Es zielt auf eine Einführung und kritische Einordnung von Theorien, Befunden und Diskussionslinien über Social Media, die sich aus einer sozialtheoretischen Perspektive ergeben. Die Arbeit erfolgt textbasiert und auf Literaturgrundlage. Sie setzt ein entsprechendes Maß an Lesebereitschaft voraus. Zentraler Bezugspunkt ist folgendes Werk: Fuchs, C. (2021). Soziale Medien und kritische Theorie. München: UVK-Verlag.
