Der Capability Approach - oft mit "Fähigkeitenansatz" übersetzt - wurde von Amartya Sen und Martha Nussbaum entwickelt. Er hat zum Ziel, möglichst viele Meschen zu einem guten Leben zu befähigen. Aber was ist ein gutes Leben? Kann es dafür ein Konzept geben, das für alle Menschen gilt?
In diesem Seminar wird die Idee des Capability Approach und dessen Weiterentwicklung vermittelt. Zudem werden Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des Ansatzes in seiner praktischen Umsetzbarkeit diskutiert.
