In diesem Seminar wird mit dem Primärtext gearbeitet. Als Sitzungsvorbereitung müssen die jeweiligen Bibeltexte gelesen werden. In Gruppenarbeit und im Plenum werden Inhalte und zentrale Motive der Bibeltexte besprochen und mit der Gegenwart der Entstehungszeit der Texte in Beziehung gesetzt. Im Anschluss daran werden fachdidaktische Überlegungen angestellt und Ideen für eine Umsetzung im Unterricht gesammelt.

Für die Bescheinigung einer aktiven Teilnahme wird eine regelmäßige Teilnahme gefordert, diese äußert sich in aktiver Beteiligung in der Sitzung, vorbereitender Lektüre der Texte, Teilnahme an den Gruppenarbeiten und Diskussionen sowie der Übernahme eines Protokolls. Wer einen benoteten Schein benötigt, kann je nach Studienordnung eine Exegese, eine Klausur oder eine mündliche Prüfung ablegen.
