Das Seminar behandelt ausgewählte Kapitel des Buches “Der Staatsadel“ von Pierre Bourdieu und bietet auf diese Weise zugleich eine Einführung in dessen Soziologie. Das Buch behandelt das französische Bildungssystem und entwickelt auf dieser Grundlage eine empirisch gesättigte und zudem historisch informierte Soziologie staatstragender Eliten und Machtverhältnisse. Das Seminar soll zur kritischen Lektüre eines umfangreichen Werkes befähigen und lässt dabei auch Raum für vergleichende und einzelne Aspekte vertiefende Diskussionen, die sich nach den Interessen der Seminarteilnehmenden richten.

Studien/Seminarleistung: Zusammenfassung der Seminartexte und der wichtigsten Diskussionspunkte des Seminars (2-3 Seiten) für zwei Sitzung der eigenen Wahl.
Modulleistung: gleiche Anforderungen wie bei der Seminarleistung plus eine mündliche Prüfung (Themenauswahl wird durch Seminarleiterin gestellt) oder eine Hausarbeit (10-15 Seiten) nach individueller Themenabsprache
