300034 Klimapolitik - Jenseits von Links und Rechts? Politische Argumentationsmuster im internationalen Vergleich (Übung: Global Governance) (Ü) (WiSe 2012/2013)

Spätestens mit dem Entstehen der Neuen Sozialen Bewegungen (insbesondere der Umweltbewegung) mehren sich Stimmen, die die politischen Richtungsbegriffe „Links“ und „Rechts“ als untauglich zur Beschreibung politischer Konfliktlinien erklären und das Links-Rechts-Schema für obsolet halten. Doch liegen Politikfelder wie Umwelt- und Klimapolitik wirklich orthogonal zum Links-Rechts-Schema? Sind wir tatsächlich an einem „Ende der Ideologien“ angelangt wie es der Soziologe Daniel Bell formulierte? Oder lassen sich die unterschiedlichen Antworten auf aktuelle umweltpolitische Herausforderungen, wie die des Klimawandels, mit den Begriffen „Links“ und „Rechts“ erfassen? Das Seminar möchte an dieser Stelle ansetzen und Entwicklung, Bedeutung und Inhalt dieser beiden Begriffe hinterfragen und ihre Gültigkeit am Beispiel klimapolitischer Argumentationsmuster im internationalen Vergleich untersuchen.
