Es wird ein Grundüberblick über das Alte Testament gegeben: Im Plenum und in Gruppenarbeit werden Landeskunde Palästinas, Geschichte des Volks Israel, ein ausschnitthafter bibelkundlicher Überblick über wichtige Bücher des Alten Testaments, der alttestamentliche Kanon, Hermeneutik und die Motive Bund und Land im Alten Testament bearbeitet. Neben der Lektüre (Primär- und Sekundärliteratur je nach Thema) muss für eine aktive Teilnahme ein Protokoll angefertigt werden. Je nach Studienordnung kann im Anschluss eine Klausur oder mündliche Prüfung zur Benotung erfolgen.
