301133 Evolution anzetteln? Wandel in differenzierten Gesellschaften (S) (WiSe 2022/2023)

Soziologische Differenzierungstheorien (Systemtheorie, aber auch Feld- oder Übersetzungstheorie) beschreiben sozialen Wandel als langsam, unvorhersehbar und träge. Schon deswegen scheint es auf den ersten Blick plausibel, Wandel soziologisch mit Theorien soziokultureller Evolution zu beschreiben. Betont wird dabei, dass Gesellschaft viel zu komplex ist, um Veränderungen bestimmter Zustände gezielt herbeizuführen. Planungs- oder Steuerungsversuche werden ihrerseits zum Gegenstand, zum Spielmaterial evolutionärer Prozesse. Das Seminar wird zunächst zu klären versuchen, was "soziokulturelle Evolution" bedeutet, um dann beleuchten zu können, wie begrifflich mit Initiativen umzugehen ist, die sozialen Wandel nicht dem Zufall überlassen, sondern "Evolution anzetteln" (Meißner 2017) wollen. Passiert Wandel oder (inwiefern) wird er gestaltet? Wir bemühen uns um theoretische Klärungen und empirische Beispiele.

Wünschenswert, aber nicht notwendig sind Vorkenntnisse in soziologischer Differenzierungstheorie. Notwendig hingegen: Interesse am Thema.

Ihre Aktive Teilnahme/ Studienleistung dokumentieren Sie durch eine aktive Teilnahme, darüber hinaus durch das Sammeln von insg. sechs Punkten. Dabei handelt es sich um ein seminarinternes Punktesystem, also keine Credit Points. Hierzu haben Sie mehrere (Kombinations-)Möglichkeiten aus Kommentaren, Exzerpten und Präsentationen. Details werden zu Seminarbeginn geklärt und werden der Beschreibung im Lernraum (Ordner 01 Einführung) zu entnehmen sein.
Eine Hausarbeit, die so lang sein soll, wie es das Thema erfordert, 15 Seiten aber nicht deutlich überschreitet, ist für eine benotete Prüfungsleistung bis zum 31.3.2023 erforderlich. (Fächerspezifische Bestimmungen: Hausarbeit im Umfang von 10-22 Seiten). Die Arbeit kann über den Lernraum eingereicht werden.
