Das Seminar thematisiert zunächst die Zunahme gesellschaftlicher Kontrollobjekte (über die „Ersten Drei Gewalten“ hinaus) sowie Kontrollinstanzen (über Medien als „Vierte Gewalt“ hinaus). Im Rechtsstaat kontrollieren alle alle. Was im 21. Jahrhundert nach totaler Überwachung klingen mag, war in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts noch als emanzipatorische Forderung zu lesen. Wir werden uns sowohl mit konkreten Beispielen (Recherchen der Studierenden) als auch mit theoretischen Konsequenzen beschäftigen.

Wünschenswert, aber nicht notwendig sind Vorkenntnisse in Rechtssoziologie (Einführung). Notwendig hingegen: Interesse am Thema.

Ihre Aktive Teilnahme/ Studienleistung dokumentieren Sie durch eine aktive Teilnahme, darüber hinaus durch das Sammeln von insg. sechs Punkten. Dabei handelt es sich um ein seminarinternes Punktesystem, also keine Credit Points. Hierzu haben Sie mehrere (Kombinations-)Möglichkeiten aus Kommentaren, Exzerpten und Präsentationen. Details hierzu werden zu Beginn des Seminars erläutert.
Eine Hausarbeit, die so lang sein soll, wie es das Thema erfordert, 15 Seiten aber nicht deutlich überschreitet, ist für eine benotete Prüfungsleistung bis zum 31.3.2022 erforderlich. (Fächerspezifische Bestimmungen: Hausarbeit im Umfang von 10-22 Seiten). Die Arbeit kann über den Lernraum eingereicht werden.
