Diese Lehrveranstaltung ist mit der Vorlesung des Grundkurses Linguistik verbunden. Die Konzepte und Analysetechniken, die in der Vorlesung eingeführt werden, werden in dieser Lehrveranstaltung durch zahlreiche Übungsbeispiele erläutert und geübt. Darüber hinaus werden die einzelnen Arbeitsbereiche der Linguistik eingeführt: die Psycho- und Neurolinguistik, die experimentelle Phonetik, die angewandte und theoretische Computerlinguistik, die Soziolinguistik und die Sprachtypologie.
