Federico García Lorca gilt als der wichtigste spanische Dichter des 20. Jahrhunderts. Er war ein vielseitig begabter Künstler: nicht nur Lyriker, sondern auch Dramatiker, Musiker und Zeichner. Das Seminar möchte einen Überblick über sein literarisches Werk geben, vor allem über seine Gedichte und Theaterstücke. Wir lesen u.a. Gedichte aus den Bänden "Sonetos del amor oscuro", "Diván del Tamarit", "Poeta en Nueva York" und "Romancero gitano" sowie die Dramentrilogie "Bodas de sangre", "Yerma" und "La casa de Bernarda Alba". Thematisch liegt dabei der Fokus auf der Liebe und dem Tod.
Requirements for participation, required level

Kenntnisse des Spanischen sind natürlich von Vorteil, aber keine Teilnahmevoraussetzung. Die Texte stehen auf Spanisch und auf Deutsch zur Verfügung.
Die im Seminar behandelten Dramen müssen in der vorlesungsfreien Zeit gelesen werden.
Die im Seminar behandelten Gedichte werden in einem Reader zusammengestellt.

Die deutsche Übersetzung der drei behandelten Dramen wird in Kürze in Stud.IP hochgeladen.
"Yerma" und "Bodas de sangre"/"Bluthochzeit" sind als zweisprachige Reclam-Bändchen erhältlich - vor allem denjenigen, die Spanischkenntnisse haben, ist die Anschaffung dieser Ausgaben empfohlen.
