"Ist es ein Junge oder ein Mädchen"? Die geschlechtsspezifische Sozialisation beginnt früh. Was macht dies mit Kindern? Wie verläuft das Aufwachsen in einer heteronormativen Gesellschaft und was muss getan werden, um diese aufzubrechen und zu erweitern? Mit diesen Fragen rund um die Konstruktion von Geschlecht und ihrer hohen Bedeutung, die ihr gesellschaftlich beigemessen wird und was all dies für Kinder impliziert, werden wir uns im Seminar beschäftigen. Hierbei werden wir uns mit den Queer Studies im Allgemeinen sowie mit Butler auseinandersetzen, aber auch intersektionale Perspektiven berücksichtigen. Mit einem Blick in die Praxis schauen wir uns z.B. genauer das Konzept zur gendersensiblen Erziehung der städtischen Kitas in Bielefeld an und vergleichen es mit alternativen Konzepten zur „genderfreien“ Erziehung.
