This course offers an introduction to prosodic systems and prosodic analysis. The background and development of Autosegmental Metrical Framework of prosodic analysis will be discussed along with practical issues pertaining to prosodic annotation.
Theoretical discussions will be accompanied with hands-on prosodic analysis of speech using DIMA system of prosodic annotation and/or G-ToBI (German Tones and Breaks Indices).
