In den letzten Jahren werden Polarisierungsprozesse auf verschiedenen Ebenen beobachtet. Das Seminar befasst sich mit sozio-ökonomischen und politischen Polarisierungsprozessen und untersucht ihre Auswirkungen auf soziale und politische Partizipation. Zum einen bietet das Seminar damit einen Überblick zu aktuellen Entwicklungen sozio-ökonomischer und politischer Polarisierung in Europa. Zum anderen geht es der Frage nach, wie diese Entwicklungen Beteiligungschancen und -Formen beeinflussen.
