Ausgehend von der Studie "Die Entstehung des Neuen in der Adoleszenz" von Vera King sollen im Seminar Lust&Frust dieser besonderen Lebensphase betrachtet werden. Dabei dient die Metapher des Neuen zur Erschließung der Qualität adoleszenter Bildungsprozesse - individuell und gesellschaftlich. Die Bedeutungen von Familie, Peer Group und Körper im Prozess des Erwachsenwerdens in modernisierten Gesellschaften werden jugendsoziologisch diskutiert, um zu Hinweisen für eine Pädagogik zu kommen, die für Mädchen und Jungen akzeptabel ist und sie angemessen begleiten kann. In diesem Zusammenhang sind für die Allgemeine Erziehungswissenschaft Kings Konzepte des "adoleszenten Möglichkeitsraums", des "Anerkennungsvakuums" und der "pädagogischen Generativität" interessant. Die Veranstaltung ist als Lektürekurs konzipiert; zusätzlich dienen Spielfilme der Konkretisierung.

Bereitschaft, ein anspruchsvolles Lesepensum zu bewältigen, Arbeit in Gruppen, Teilnahme an interaktiven Übungen und Diskussionen.
