Das Seminar findet regelmäßig am Mittwoch von 10-12Uhr (c.t.) über 'zoom' statt ( synchron).
Als Edition liegt das spätmittelalterliche „Des Teufels Netz“ von Karl August Barack vor, der die Dichtung als satirsch-didaktischen Text bezeichnet. Er selbst hat die literarische Qualität jener Satire nicht hochgeschätzt, in der Forschung jedoch wird diese als Höhepunkt der mittelalterlichen Ständedidaxe angesehen. Auch deswegen wird die Dichtung als ‚speculum animae‘ des Mittelalters bezeichnet, da der Text die Mentalität hinsichtlich der Sitten- und Moralvorstellung wiedergibt.
Um einen Einblick in die 13.657 Verse umfassende Dichtung zu geben, werden im Seminar gezielte Textauszüge besprochen, die diese Moralvorstellung transportieren. Gleichzeitig wird dadurch die Struktur der (spät)mittelalterlichen Gesellschaft vermittelt.
Die Bereitschaft aller Teilnehmer/innen wird vorausgesetzt, den Text im Original zu lesen. Zumal „Des Teufels Netz“ nicht ins Neuhochdeutsche übertragen worden ist.
