Die sozialprofessionelle Praxis der öffentlichen Kinder- und Jugendhilfe soll angesichts von kindeswohlorientierten Entscheidungspraxen in den Blick genommen werden. Hierbei werden die Begründungen von professionellem Handeln mit Blick auf die Urteilsbildung analysiert und erörtert, inwiefern formalisierte Verfahren und Standardisierungen von Handlungsabläufen Relevanzen erzeugen. Die professionelle Herstellung einer möglichen Balance zwischen „freiwilliger“ Inanspruchnahme von Leistungen zur Unterstützung des elterlichen Erziehungsrechts und dem Schutzauftrag zur Sicherstellung des Kindeswohls wird hierbei diskutiert.
